Jim and Jane had been married for about two years, and they had a 3-month-old daughter. Their conflicting views about how best to raise her were mostly due to cultural differences; this was the main reason they decided to separate and divorce. During the separation period, Tony started working with them. He introduced some ORSC™ practices that allowed both parents to realize that they were actually in alignment about much of what they wanted for their daughter.
Once they were able to widen their individual perspectives about how each parent was trying to accomplish his or her goal, they were better able to communicate with and agree on other ways to get there. The heightened level of awareness and understanding helped both parents better support their
